This policy explains what information Sharchog Pay collects when you make a booking and how it is used. Sharchog Pay provides the booking technology; the hotel you book with is the recipient of your reservation details.
What we collect
- Your name, email address, and (if provided) phone number.
- Booking details: the hotel, room, dates, number of guests, and any note you add.
- Payment status and a transaction reference. Your full card details are entered on Bhutan Payments' secure page — Sharchog Pay never sees or stores your card number.
How we use it
- To create and confirm your booking and hold the room.
- To send you a confirmation/receipt and, if needed, a cancellation notice.
- To share the reservation with the hotel so they can host you.
- To detect fraud and keep the service secure.
Who we share it with
We share your booking details with the hotel you book, and with Bhutan Payments to process the payment. We do not sell your personal information.
Retention
Booking records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet the hotel's legal and accounting obligations.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Payment card handling is performed by Bhutan Payments under their own security standards.
Your choices
To access, correct, or delete your booking information, contact the hotel you booked with, or contact Sharchog Pay and we will help route your request.
